The Hand Drill is intended as a reserve implement for emergency situations (loss of compressed air supply or intraoperative malfunction of compressed air machine). The drill has two speed settings. The low-speed setting is for tapping, screw insertion and removal, and (in emergencies) for medullary reaming. The high-speed setting is for drilling.
