V. Mueller Long Curved Bone Holding Forceps

Additional Info

  • Unit of Measurement: Each
  • Catalog Number: CDS31511-1

Description

The V. Mueller CDS31511‑1 Bone Holding Forceps is a long, precision surgical instrument designed for grasping, stabilizing, and manipulating bone or tissue in deep operative fields.

This instrument features two opposing arms joined by a hinge, forming a forceps-style jaw at the distal end rather than independent hooks. The jaws are long, narrow, and gently curved outward, allowing the instrument to reach deep anatomical structures and apply controlled grasping force.

The distal tips appear blunt and slightly hooked inward, providing secure engagement without sharp penetration, making it suitable for holding and positioning bone fragments or dense tissue.

The proximal end includes ring handles with a ratcheting locking mechanism, allowing the surgeon to maintain a constant grip without continuous hand pressure. The extended 13-inch length offers excellent reach and leverage in orthopedic or spinal procedures.

Constructed from surgical-grade stainless steel, this instrument is durable and suitable for repeated sterilization.
