Description
The V. Mueller NL4253‑93T Kerrison Rongeur is a precision spinal surgical instrument designed for controlled removal of bone and ligament during decompression procedures.
This instrument features a long, slender shaft (~9 1/2 in) terminating in a small, footplate-style biting jaw (3 mm gauge). The footplate allows the instrument to slide beneath bone or ligament while the upper cutting punch removes material with precision.
The pistol-grip, spring-loaded handle enables smooth, one-handed operation and excellent control, while the gold-colored components indicate tungsten carbide inserts, providing increased durability and cutting performance. The angled shaft and compact working tip allow access in deep or confined spinal operative fields, particularly in laminectomy or decompression procedures.
Constructed from surgical-grade stainless steel, this instrument is designed for repeated sterilization and consistent performance.
