Designed for use in oral procedures. Manufactured by V Mueller, this director and tongue tie is used to examine the mouth and guide the scalpel blade during minor procedures such as frenotomies. The butterfly-shaped end helps hold the tongue out of the way, and the shaft is deeply grooved to prevent slipping of the scalpel blade, protecting the surrounding tissue. This instrument is provided nonsterile and must be sterilized prior to use.
