Designed for use in hip implant extraction procedures. Manufactured by DePuy, this instrument grips onto an acetabular component cup with an intact polyethylene liner, and in conjunction with a slap hammer, is used to remove the component from the acetabulum. Features teeth on the ends of the tips to grip onto the cup, a speed-lock mechanism to easily hold the gripper in the desired position, and a socket for attaching a slap hammer. This instrument is provided nonsterile and must be sterilized prior to use.
